Daily Work Became Unbearable Because of Favoritism - Patient Coordinator Pearl Street Dental Partners Employee Review

Pros

A few coworkers tried to stay supportive, but the overall atmosphere was so bad that staying long-term made no sense.

Cons

- Managers made every task harder by showing favoritism and dumping the heaviest work on anyone outside their circle. - The office operated like a high school, full of cliques that made everyday communication awkward and tense. - Training was almost nonexistent, leaving staff to learn through constant trial and error while trying not to panic over mistakes. - Concerns about daily problems were ignored, as those in charge preferred to oversee from a distance rather than support the team directly. - Patient care was clearly secondary to chasing whatever generated the most money, which made the role feel hollow and frustrating.

Pros

The office location was at least tolerable.

Cons

- Every single action demanded approval, which sounds exaggerated until you endure it daily. - Even the simplest tasks were picked apart nonstop – why it was done that way, what the reasoning was, whether an entirely different approach should have been used. - There was zero trust in handling responsibilities that are literally part of the role, creating a draining loop of constant self defense instead of actual work. - Mental energy gets wasted explaining basic decisions rather than doing anything productive. –– Eventually motivation disappears because nothing ever meets expectations anyway. - The atmosphere felt stifling, cold, and completely devoid of support or growth.
