I would like to share my experience working with Pendleton Security to inform potential employees. My tenure here has highlighted several areas of concern: Lack of Basic Employee Benefits: Unlike office staff, field employees do not receive vacation days, holidays, or sick leave. Treatment by Supervisors: There is a noticeable disparity in respect and treatment by supervisors, often leading to a demeaning and unprofessional work environment for the guards. Uniform Quality and Cost: The provided uniforms are of poor quality, often tearing easily, and acquiring additional uniforms incurs a deduction from the paycheck. Compensation Structure: There appears to be a disproportionate distribution of client payments, with a significant portion not allocated to the guards. Policy vs. Law: The company prioritizes policy adherence over legal considerations, sometimes putting employees in difficult ethical positions. Employee Accountability System: There's a system where client complaints, even unverified, can lead to immediate disciplinary action against guards. Minor Infractions and Penalties: Trivial issues, such as using the wrong color ink, can result in write-ups. Lack of Personal Consideration: The company enforces strict attendance policies, often disregarding personal circumstances unless a doctor's note is provided. Communication and Transparency: There have been instances of misleading information being communicated to staff, eroding trust. Limited Career Growth: Opportunities for professional advancement and career growth within the company are extremely limited, hindering long-term career development.
