Probably the best two things I got out of my time at Penn State was the education I received and the people I met.
Cons
(This is my personal experience with PSU - please keep in mind that this is not true for all departments) The culture in my department was not very friendly to graduate students, especially those wanting to start a family. Many people in the department harassed graduate students emotionally, verbally and sometimes sexually with very little rebuke or acknowledgement from the department.
