Pros
- Good compensation. - There are some really smart people who work there.
Cons
- Good luck fitting in if you're not part of the nerdy elite or haven't been there for 6 years. Incredibly cliquey, and nearly impossible to break in. It's like one giant inside joke that you're not in on. - Co-founders have no idea how to run a business. They have no business acumen and no executive presence whatsoever. That company would fall apart if it weren't for their supporting cast. - They sell people's personal information. The business model is sketchy at best. Just because something is legal doesn't mean it's ethical. - Zero career development. After multiple conversations with executives about building out departmental career paths, it never happened. - Far too much job role specialization and approval layers for a company of that size. Everything is over-engineered. I wouldn't be shocked if they were still running 2-hour RASCI sessions to figure out which 5 people needed to be informed when a social media post is about to be edited. - People brag about working over the weekend as if it's a badge of honor to not have work/life balance. Sorry to break it to you, but there's a lot more to life than selling people's personal information to large corporations.
