Pros
They have some great employees that work very very hard. They bought some great companies with cool programs.
Cons
This company is all about their executives making money off the backs of the employees that actually work hard. The CEO mentions how many golf courses he plays before mentioning how many kids he has. He also does all hands meetings in his basement with his golf simulator in the background. They delay promotions so that you don’t qualify for annual raises. They don’t offer bonuses except if you refer someone. They nickel and dime the benefits and try to make it so you don’t qualify. They gave me a water bottle for working for my 5 year anniversary, I would have rather not received anything. My co worker got a clock for her 30th year anniversary, Its laughable that is all you get after so many years! Almost all of the leadership is male. They do not pay well and do not have good benefits. The culture is that you will love your team but hate the company that you work for. I am embarrassed to say that I work for Peraton. They just bought a bunch of companies pooled them together and called it growth. Look at their attrition rate, a saying going around the office is the great resignation. Their mission is “do the can’t be done” meanwhile nothing can get done and their employee services are awful, always changing, and down. Need benefit information? welcome to the world of automated mailboxes that are zero help and HR that just keeps referring you to different people. The language they put in contracts is sneaky so I can’t work under another company for the same project because of non compete agreements. You just end up sucking it up because you enjoy the work that you do and the team you interact with every day and try to forget how awful the company treats you compared to other defense contractor companies.
