Pros

The best part about working for PetDesk, were the trauma bonds created with people on the team. At first, we were hired based on our love for animals and experience in the veterinary industry, however that quickly became unimportant after several management changes and acquisitions.

Cons

Drastically underpaid in comparison to other companies hiring for the same position. A fairly low starting salary will be promised with on target earnings, however they will set goals at numbers that cannot be reached. And if they are reached? They will move the bar. This company will do whatever they can, not to pay their employees a fair salary. Technical issues daily. Whether it be messy lead drops, never getting leads at all, or personal tech issues that are left unsolved for weeks. They will absolutely not take these issues into consideration when looking at your performance, do not expect grace. Extremely high employee turnover. Over 30 SDR's turned over within one year. Leaves very little space for team building, or camaraderie. In addition, 3 team managers within a 3 month period. (No, they will not take this into account when looking at performance.) No forward movement. Although it is promised upon hiring, there are very few opportunities for raises or promotions. Not even $1 after a year of work.

Thank you for the review and detailed feedback. I'm sorry that you left us feeling used. The SDR position is very difficult and has been the driving force behind our company for a decade. It is a higher turnover area of our business, but we've never wanted to devalue it or the humans in the seat doing the challenging work. Your insights about employee support and career development are valuable, and we are taking steps to reposition the team in the market for better opportunities. Thank you for your contributions, and I wish you success in your future endeavors.

Pros

Having worked on the clinic floor, supporting veterinary teams is personal to me — it’s meaningful to contribute to tools that genuinely make their days easier. Being able to pair that passion with my love for technology and problem-solving has made my work at PetDesk feel purposeful and aligned. I’ve been able to take on new roles and challenges with consistent support. My teammates collaborate with kindness and curiosity, and there’s a genuine willingness across teams to share knowledge, help each other, and celebrate growth. I especially value the trust and psychological safety here. I’m encouraged to try new approaches, be creative, and learn openly — even when that means making mistakes. My managers have all been wonderful - they’ve coached and guided without micromanaging, which has helped me build confidence and take meaningful ownership of my work. The pay and benefits reflect that my contributions are valued — but even more importantly, I feel seen as a whole person. I feel heard, appreciated, and supported. An added and wonderful bonus: working from home! I’m incredibly proud to be part of PetDesk.

Cons

Honestly there are no cons to working here.

Thank you for such thoughtful feedback. It means a lot to hear how your experience at PetDesk has felt purposeful, supportive, and rooted in trust — especially coming from someone who understands the realities of clinic life firsthand. We’re grateful for the impact you make and for the collaboration you bring to the team. We also appreciate your encouragement around benefits and transparency. Continuing to strengthen both is a priority for us, and your note about more frequent check-ins is a helpful reminder of the significance of small moments of connection.

Pros

Working with Veterinarian Clinics brings a great sense of fulfillment. Remote work.

Cons

Terrible communication between departments and teams. Poor leadership from the top down that seems to constantly be used to putting out fires but never building a solid plan to execute and scale properly going forward, Internal processes and products are so complicated and hard to use. One of the worst admin dashboards I’ve ever seen and the products sold to customers are subpar. Pay was too low and work load was too much. False promises with promotions or career paths. Definitely one of the worst companies I’ve ever worked for.
