Pros

The only good thing about this place is Candice and the dogs.

Cons

The managers dont ever do anything but sit in the office close the door and say no one can go in there just so they can get out of doing any kind of work or anything to help their staff when they need it the most. Not to mention their pet pro “leads” believe they can just sit there and watch you work and tell you what to do without helping at all because they think they are entitled just because they have the title of a lead what a joke😂!! The ONLY actual lead that does her job correctly, doesnt treat you like garbage and deserves that title is Candice. There is no arguing about that and almost every single person i worked with would back me up on that. This is by far the WORST job ive ever had simply because of management and their so called “leads”. They dont treat you like you are an actual person and they will make you work 10x more than one person should because they dont want to. They could offer to pay me $100 an hour and i still would never go back its that terrible. If you want to hate your life and have managers that do nothing but degrade you be my guest and apply to this job but otherwise id listen to all of the bad reviews they are there for a reason we arent making this stuff up. Even the clients hate the management and talk about how they need to get fired simply off of how they treat us. The second i quit that job i felt instant relief and couldnt be happier. They literally make you so depressed and have made so many employees cry and feel bad about themselves. 100% the worst job anyone could ever ask for. Nobody should ever work here. When you see this place you should look the other way and run as fast as possible.

Pros

One of the biggest advantages of working at PetSuites is the hands-on experience you gain with animals. This position is a great opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in animal care, veterinary medicine, or a related field. You will work alongside coworkers with different goals—some who are gaining experience before entering the veterinary field and others who simply have a passion for working with animals. During your time at PetSuites, you develop valuable knowledge about animal behavior, basic pet care, and the responsibilities involved in caring for dogs and cats. You also gain exposure to topics such as medication routines, recognizing different behaviors, and understanding the needs of different animals. This experience can help build important skills for anyone looking to continue working in the animal care industry.

Cons

One of the biggest challenges I experienced while working at PetSuites was the management. While my experience may have been specific to my location, I found that communication, scheduling, and employee concerns were often handled poorly. Requesting time off or needing schedule adjustments could be very difficult, even when there were valid reasons. As a high school student balancing school, extracurricular activities, family commitments, and work, I often felt that my personal life was not taken into consideration. There were many times when scheduling decisions caused me to miss important events with family and friends because of a lack of flexibility. Another issue I experienced was how employee concerns were addressed. When equipment or workplace issues were brought up, I often felt that my concerns were not properly acknowledged or followed up on. Additionally, when conflicts or problems involving coworkers occurred, I did not always feel that they were taken seriously or handled fairly. I also had concerns regarding leadership structure at my location. Some supervisory positions were filled by individuals with close personal relationships to management, which created a perception of favoritism among employees. This made it difficult for some team members to feel that concerns were being handled equally and objectively. Overall, while the job itself provided valuable experience working with animals, my biggest concerns came from the management style and workplace culture at my specific location. Better communication, more consistent scheduling practices, and a stronger focus on addressing employee feedback would greatly improve the experience for future team members.
