Pros
Travel benefits are wonderful - PAL enables me to fly home up to 6x a year using benefits (ID00, ID75, ID50). Parents and siblings included in travel benefits package. Also if you are into Filipino celebrities, you get a chance to meet them and have photos taken with them when PAL sponsors their events/concerts. As a Filipino, I felt right at home.
Cons
- Salary is unbelievably low. I moved on to another airline which nearly doubled my pay to start. I couldn't imagine how I was able to live off what I made.
- Very political and there were so many shady characters operating within the region I was in.
- Management style was very old fashioned and will not adapt to the times.
- Not a lot of opportunity to move up and progress in your career. You'll stay stuck in your position FOR-E-VER.
- Lots of potential labor law violations that just went unreported and shrugged off, Pinoy style.
