Pros
Per diem, gas and miles paid. Plenty of overtime. Benefits are good. Beats being a roughneck.
Cons
Time away from home, especially if you have a family. Work can sometimes be inconsistent. Coworkers can be difficult to work with. The training class really doesn’t prepare you too well for the field. If they don’t have anywhere to put you, you sit at home without pay. Hard hours, if you’re not used to it.
