Pros
Friendly coworkers Being able to leave office at 5.30pm.
Cons
Lack of Career Growth: Despite expressing interest in career advancement opportunities, I found very minimum little support or guidance from management. There was no formal career development program in place, and promotions seemed arbitrary and based more on favouritism. Poor Work-Life Balance: The workload often felt overwhelming, with tight deadlines and unrealistic expectations. Company enforces 5.30pm sharp to leave office (in order to avoid paying us OT) yet requires off-hours work completion. This led to frequent late nights and weekend work. Also, do anticipate the director's frequently call and spam messages beyond normal working hours to address his 'urgent' needs. Communication Issues: There was a lack of transparency from upper management regarding company goals and decisions. Important changes were often communicated poorly or not at all, leaving employees unsure about the direction of the company. Managerial Conduct: Having meetings with director often included yelling and the use of vulgar, demeaning language. This created a hostile atmosphere and lack of open dialogue. Employees are expected to comply with every director's decisions without meaningful discussion or input creating a culture where opinions and ideas are not valued.
