Pros
Pay is comparable to other LTL carriers. At this time we have company paid health insurance for employees and families. Virtually no weekend work, so it is essentially a Mon-Fri job. Company offers various financial programs to help employees save money, even have a financial advisor come to the terminal from time to time to help employees with ideas for investments, savings, and retirement. Also they offer several wellness programs to help employees be healthy.
Cons
Work can be very physical. Loading and unloading trailers with pallet jacks and hand trucks. Open docks, no protection from extreme temperatures. Gets very cold on the dock during the winter. Vacation policy, only certain number of drivers off per day, and if you don’t have enough seniority, chances are you won’t get your requested days off.
