They mean well... but it's not working. - Campaign Manager Placecast Employee Review

Pros

You can come and go as you please, no vacation policy, and the office is close to transportation. If you see a process that can be changed or adjusted, you can take the reigns and make it happen. The team is generally very friendly and wants to help each other out. Ability to work from home or remotely as needed is also a huge perk, see cons for the environment in the office.

Cons

I worked here for over 3 years and in that time, I had 4 different supervisors because people kept leaving for better opportunities. A few people were allowed to seek education, but this was not offered to all employees and once those people gained their certifications, they quickly left the company. The fairness issue in the company comes largely due to the fact that there are no written policies for anything: education, parental leave, vacation, cell phone reimbursements etc. You basically have to hope that management is in a good mood when you ask for something. You won't have goals or a gauge for whether or not you are performing properly because you aren't included on the overall strategic planning. This creates a lot of nervousness amongst the staff. There's no air conditioning or heating in the building, so as others have said, working there can be sort of miserable. I had a fan and a standing heater at my desk 365 days a year.

Pros

The employees are really a great group of people who enjoy working together and mostly everyone likes to hang out with each other after work (this does not include the management team, the management team is awful). No one really understands the industry so everyone is learning at the same time and the employees do help each other out and work as a team.

Cons

Management is terrible. There is no career path for any of the employees. It's an unfair environment, during your review you many be reviewed by your peers but you don't always have the opportunity to review your peers (those on the same team as you) which is odd, unfair and probably illegal. The office is terrible (no heat and no air-conditioning) so you freeze in the morning and sweat in the afternoon. Management is clueless about how unhappy the employees are.
