Pros
3 free lunches per week Beautiful office in downtown Seattle Smart people - rank and file employees are sharp as tacks and very friendly Kitchen is fully stocked with drinks and snacks
Cons
Incredibly poor compensation, both in terms of salary as well as equity Benefits are meager at best No sick days - if you fall ill, you're expected to either take one of your precious vacation days, or work from home and produce like you're 100% 401K takes several months to vest Hours are long - employees are expected to be in the office from 9-6 at a minimum, and then to spend additional time on nights and weekend Leadership spends too much time on IC work and not enough time leading and teaching - communication is poor Process is needlessly complicated and laborious Tech debt is gigantic, but never gets paid off - its simply not a priority Leadership is always looking for the next 'get-rich-quick' opportunity, leading to employees being overburdened and randomized Company strategy seemed to change and pivot every month - its hard to align with a constantly moving target Product is managed horizontally, not vertically, forcing needless inefficiency on product team So. Many. Meetings. Very inefficient use of time. The company has a drinking culture, perpetuated by the CEO Unless you're super passionate about ad tech and don't care about compensation, stay away.
