Pros
Administrative staff can work from home 2-3 days a week Good benefits package (healthcare, dental, and vision)
Cons
There is no system for accountability and employee concerns aren't listened to or taken seriously Managers will frequently assign unrealistic workloads at short notice while simultaneously not pulling their own weight on the team Managers are unable to consider feedback professionally and take objective disagreements as personal insults Fear of retaliation keeps employees from openly complaining, but many don't last much longer than a year Toxic work environment where non managerial staff is severely unhappy and overworked There is a nominal commitment to DEI, but it is clear management has no real grasp of how to create an inclusive work environment I frequently had to deal with microaggressions and biased language about people of color from my manager
