Cons
This was the most toxic work environment I have ever experienced in my life. Turnover is extremely high because managers have no respect for workers' workloads: the amount of work given is unsustainable, and managers will assign absurd levels of work on short timelines while simultaneously not pulling their own weight on the team. There are few opportunities for advancement or professional development if you aren't a manager. Managers show an extreme lack of professionalism, and there is no structure for accountability. Even if employees complain about mistreatment nothing is done. Management will take out petty personal grievances out on direct reports and there is really nothing anyone can do about it. Attempts at equity and inclusion fall flat when it's clear management doesn't actually understand how to create an inclusive workplace. Despite bragging about the "diversity of the executive board," people of color are noticeably not promoted to management and their experiences and insights are dismissed regularly during day-to-day interactions. I was forced to quit due to experiencing frequent microaggressions from my direct manager, fear of intimidation and retaliation for reporting misconduct, and the unreasonable workload.
