As the PlayMaker Engineering organization matures, we must adopt practices that will ensure that our products meet and exceed our client’s expectations for availability, correctness, and innovation. This requires that the Engineering organization become more disciplined and deliberate regarding our technology choices, our approach to addressing technical debt, our focus on quality, and our planning for the future. We must also hold ourselves accountable to delivering at the level our client’s demand.
As we hold transparency, collaboration, and team engagement as core principles, we ensure that all team members are involved in the decision-making process. Individuals with strong opinions are treated with respect as long as that individual respects the team’s decision once the team choses a solution to the problem at hand. While this is not an environment suited for all solo flyers, it is how we believe strong teams are built. If a member of the team is not respectful, they will be warned, and if the behavior does not change, they will be asked to leave.
As we shift our focus to the future, the team looks forward to continuing to embrace industry best practices, new technology, and demonstrating true technical innovation. We wish you the best of luck in your future projects.
