Most engineers are smart, dedicated and want to build great products. Some "Silicon Valley" type perks. Very casual environment where having an adult beverage is OK.
Cons
Management is ruining what used to be a great company. The new leadership from Intuit has killed morale and is forcing out the aforementioned smart employees. They are bringing in sub par former colleagues who were forced out of their previous company and buying "Enterprise solutions" instead of letting the engineers build great things. Do you like working a full day, then supporting midnight maintenances only to come in a few hours later for another full day of work? How about working Christmas day in the office? Good, because both are required. Non technical people leading and making the technical decisions? I'm confused. Every decision has become only about money, which I partially understand from a business perspective but it wears people out. Although management wasn't around for the development of the PS4 and the supporting services they like to take credit for how the company is doing.
