Pros

Very relaxed dress code with extremely flexible hours. Company loves to give away free product to get their employees excited about something new. They also feed their employees well.

Cons

No career advancement opportunities, senior management (they are owned by DEI Sales, inc, who also owns brands like Viper/Clifford/etc and are based in California) has no idea about the rich history that the baltimore office (where Polk was born and has remained for all 42 years of its existence) has and how much the people there do.

Pros

Polk has a very laid back culture. There are a little less than 100 employees right now, which means you can take on a lot of responsibility (i.e. assignments) and learn many new things. Baltimore is an affordable city with plenty to do. It's a fun job and there's a lot of camaraderie.

Cons

There are limitations to working in such a small company. First, you don't have the brand recognition of a large company on your resume. Second, there is not much room for growth. If you want to be promoted, you need to take your boss' job. Salaries are modest.
