Pros
Food is very addicting, honestly you won't find anything like it around. Given the right co-workers it's a very fun environment. This is my first job and it has definitely opened my eyes to the inner workings of a fast-food chain. I have more respect and sympathy for other fast food places i go to. The workplace skills I've obtained (work in fast-paced, high-stress environment, dealing with all types of customers with diff. backgrounds, taking initiative and multi-tasking, being efficient while helping out the team as a whole to push out great customer service) will be super beneficial in my future jobs. It prepares you for it all. Also very flexible scheduling if you are in school, you just give them a week notice if you have to take any days off or change availability.
Cons
How they run the business is the worst tbh. Don't apply for the server position unless you are prepared to be the only person serving food and busing tables and tending to the bathroom, drink and sauce station AND doing dishes for hours on end cuz it will be like that MOST days.. apparently PT is only allowed to schedule one server per shift. Depending on your location customers could be very rude and RACIST and treat you like trash all because 1. its fast food and 2. you're their "servant" also know that because of the type of food sold here (rice, chicken wings, beans and soup etc.) its HIGHLY likely that you will be cleaning the dirtiest tables you've ever seen in your life. honestly i dont even think McDonald's has it as bad as us. Some customers have NO HOME TRAINING and eat like mf wild animals and let their kids fling food everywhere and you WILL have to smile and laugh and ASSURE the customer that you will be cleaning up their dirty af mess because it's all about keeping them happy.
