Pros
Working at Porter and Chester Institute, Worcester campus, provides a meaningful opportunity to support students as they prepare for careers in the healthcare field. As a Program Coordinator and instructor, I value the ability to guide students in developing both clinical skills and professionalism, and to see their growth from the classroom into real-world settings.
The team environment is supportive and collaborative, with faculty and staff who are dedicated to student success. There is a strong sense of purpose in the work we do, and the ability to make a direct impact on students’ futures is very rewarding. One of the most fulfilling aspects of the role is seeing students successfully graduate and obtain placement in their chosen field shortly after completion of the program.
Program development is supported through ongoing feedback from advisory board members and local employers, helping ensure that curriculum and instruction remain aligned with current industry expectations. This connection to the field strengthens both the student experience and overall program outcomes.
There are also opportunities to contribute beyond the classroom, including collaboration across campuses and involvement in curriculum alignment, allowing for professional growth and a broader impact on program quality.
Cons
As the program continues to grow, there are ongoing opportunities to further strengthen communication and consistency across campuses.
