Pros

In the heart of downtown Portland. Great learning experience. Have enough free time to do individual studying.

Cons

Projects are typically pointless. The hiring of receptionists and turning them into QA members creates a huge knowledge gap. No real training. Management is an absolute joke. Well below industry standard when it comes to pay. Don't expect to receive a raise. Don't expect to receive substantial merit increases. A couple team members carries the company, while everyone else is dead weight. Most valuable employees either leave the company from being mistreated or because there is no room to grow within the company. New HR seems to care, but no one in management seems to care what HR thinks.

Pros

- free drinks, bagels once a week - decent healthcare/401k matching - great work life balance- very relaxed about what time you come in as long as it's before standup, rare overtime for releases - opportunities to grow within the company if you are patient enough. not usually based on merit, but when someone finally can't stand it anymore and leaves, they pick the next person to fill that role until they also become fed up - public transit pass

Cons

- sticklers for hours, employees all eat lunch at their desks, afraid to take a 10 min coffee break - outsourced development, in house QA. no real designers or UX so the products are all terrible to use and look at. - they never fire the incompetent employees or those who get bad performance reviews. some employees carry the weight for the team while most coast along - PMs and engineers are segregated which results in lots of waterfall handoffs and miscommunications - boy's club in leadership, vastly underpay their female employees in comparable roles, male management make inappropriate comments about female employees' looks & make sexual jokes
