Pros

Most of the Developers, Quality Assurance, and a couple Project Managers are nice people who are good at their job. The location is ideal. The benefits are not bad.

Cons

Any employee competent enough and/or smart enough to know what's happening has left on their own or been asked to leave after trying to effect change. The few remaining good employees get the brunt of the work and don't see much, if any, increase in compensation, certainly not commensurate with the workload. Those responsible - upper management - oddly continue to get promotions and (I assume) raises. It's frustrating to say the least.

Pros

Great experiences with great people. I always felt valued and appreciated. Many opportunities were given to advance from within. You just needed to apply yourself to make those things happen and not expect it to just come your way. All in all, I enjoyed my time working there. Yes, there where times where the pressure was on, but isn't that at any business? Given the chance I'd work there again. It was a great environment where one could thrive if one applied his or herself.

Cons

I can't really express many cons. Should I have been paid more? No, I felt I was paid what I was worth. Did they owe me something? No, I was given what I needed and beyond. In actuality, they were a standard company doing a standard job. Yes there where things that upper management kept from the staff however no business is ever fully transparent.

Pros

There are still some good developers there, though they probably won't be for long.

Cons

It really is a shame what happened to PDS. It used to be a great place to work. They had a brilliant, innovative team of developers but they failed to adequately compensate them. As a result, the senior devs have been leaving in droves and those that remain are becoming overly burdened with tasks outside of their roles, since they never filled those positions. The developers are overworked, underpaid, and burnt out. There is no clear business plan. The system that exists is a reactionary business model of knee-jerk reactions and constant fire fighting. The environment is stressful and toxic and upper management either doesn't notice or doesn't care.
