Pros

As a newer attorney with little experience I have been fortunate enough to have found Preferred Legal Support. Here I have been exposed to the labor and employment practice area. It is satisfying knowing that I am gaining knowledge and experience that helps people. That is why I went to law school, to help people. Another pro is that working for Preferred Legal Support affords me the benefit of exposure indirectly to several other opportunities. My career path is enhanced and supported by the fact that if I want to move into client intake or into litigation or into law and motion or into a non attorney position that I am support professionally by my employer and its clients.

Cons

The commute to Century City is tough, but I am able to work remotely if I want to. (I guess that is not really a con!)

Pros

-Casual dress code -Some employees work remotely, others in the office, depending on position -Flexible vacation / time off -Decent health insurance benefits - Opportunity for advancement - All in all, hard work and dedication to the mission is rewarded. People who want to skate by and phone it in get discovered pretty fast. That means sticking with some very busy, hectic times and coming out on the other side with a sense of completion. Frankly, I do not understand some of the earlier reviews on here making it sound like this is a firm. Preferred Legal Support is not a law firm and never was. It provides highly customized, high-level support to multiple law firms.

Cons

I wish there were some more team-building / off work events to increase camaraderie. No 401k PLS can be fast-paced and demanding at times. If you are the roll-up your sleeves and get things done type, you should succeed. If you cannot handle rapid change and rush projects (some people simply do not - it is not a character flaw), it may not work out for you. There may have been issues in the past with some of the law firm assignments based on these reviews, but I don't see those kinds of issues now.
