Pros

Good hours, good benefits, once a month birthday cake and treats, employee appreciation events.

Cons

Micromanagement, not advancement opportunities and outdated practices. I was doing a mind-numbingly boring job. I was told I was doing a good job, but when I asked for more tasks and responsibility I was told no repeatedly. My boss was very sweet, but she was just a figure head. She had no authority to do anything and had to go to another boss to get anything approved. She always would say let me ask them first. He was very controlling, with a do it my way attitude about everything. I wish I would have had the opportunity to meet him during the interview process, I would have known immediately this was not the place for me. I was not a collector, but I was treated like one, without having any of the extra incentives. It could be a great company, if management would become more receptive to their employees needs.

Pros

Steady work schedule, decent benefit options. Paycheck every two weeks.

Cons

Company does not have a real human resource department. With 100 employees, that speaks volumes. If you call in sick (even for the first time and you have PTO avail) you get wrote up immediately, even if you have a MD excuse. Also, the commission structure needs to be changed to reflect the line of business a collector is working in. Retail collectors are the lowest paid due to a steady decrease in clientele in that area. There is a them and us mentality amongst collectors. Employees bicker among themselves on a regular basis. Micromanagement is unbelievable. Managers are only concerned about THEIR commission checks/bonuses.
