Pros

The best thing about Progressive are the people, you will most likely love your coworkers. The benefits at Prog are fine, I don’t think any better or worse than the tech companies in the area. If you read the reviews there is a lot of input from Call Center staff. It’s my opinion that the Call Center treats their people very well, and if you’re looking for a job there go for it. I have had the pleasure to work with Sales & Sales leadership, and I would, without question recommend that team. They are company leaders in diversity, and internal promotions....Outside of Sales, I believe that Progressive has struggled. There have been a lot of hires, and a lot of people have been fired. I’m not sure that they have ethical hiring practices, and like many people have posted about, diversity is lacking. My advice is this: if you are taking a job at Progressive, don’t drink the kool-aid and buy into the carrot that will dangle in front of you. Take the job because it’s what you want to do, and where you want to be, not the promise of the payoff down the road. That same promise has been made to a lot of people and sadly, most of the promotions have been filled with people outside of the company (unless you’re in Sales, they have a strong model of internal promotions). This doesn’t make Progressive a bad place to work, it’s actually a fun place to work but their hiring practices aren’t in your favor, and that’s just a fact.

Cons

Benefits are about average, no childcare assistance. Don’t fill out the employee engagement survey. It’s really not confidential.

Pros

The leadership team sets a clear vision and communicates it with transparency and confidence. They don’t just manage—they inspire, creating an environment where people feel trusted and empowered. Innovation is encouraged at every level. New ideas are welcomed, tested, and often implemented, which makes the workplace feel dynamic and future‑focused. There’s a strong emphasis on professional growth. Leaders actively encourage employees to stretch beyond their comfort zones, offering guidance and support along the way. Collaboration is valued, and cross‑functional teams are given the space to experiment and succeed together.

Cons

As with any fast‑moving, innovative environment, priorities can shift quickly. It requires adaptability, but the upside is constant learning
