Pros
The emergency department has many talented doctors, nurses, and other staff members. Patients receive quality care while there. Pay is competitive and the nursing union is very supportive and beneficial.
Cons
However, the ER management and the human resources department are very unsupportive of the nursing staff. They are constantly understaffing the nurses causing dangerous risks to patients and staff. This has caused much frustration and led to high nursing turnover rates.
