Pros

Employees were nice, easy job overall.

Cons

Understaffed, constant micromanagement by the corporate office, unrealistic job expectations. You are supposed to make cold calls, which is easy, but you will quickly get distracted by working in the warehouse, taking phone calls, people walking in, etc... If you miss an office call, you will get emails every single day about it. It becomes very difficult when you are the only person in the office "running the store" because it is so understaffed. You are expected to take calls, make calls, prep orders, load contractors and homeowners, make salees, all at once. They will tell you "you have to be better with time management", while in reality can be very stressful and nearly impossible on busy days. Competition is killing their business, but yet blame it on employees for the lack of revenue when the pricing is considerably higher than the competitors in the area. Even though you are hired for sales, you are expected to run warehouse too. The warehouse person also takes care of deliveries, so expect to be in and out of the warehouse for the majority of the day on delivery days, while still expected to make your calls, estimates, prep orders, scheduling, and RFQ's. Worst part of it, you won't make any commissions unless the region meets their goals. You can be great at your job, hit all your goals, and still won't see a bonus when all other stores underperform.

Pros

Turf is a great field to get into. This job can possibly get you experience so you can take it to more serious run company.

Cons

Outside of a few people, the whole company is completely mismanaged. The Florida market had a "do nothing" for a Regional manager that had no idea how to lead. The training went downhill for the most part and employees were constantly fired. The base is inefficient when you take into account that they set your bonus numbers purposely out of reach to make sure that they don't have to pay that. They work you on weekends and when they don't backfill lost positions, you end up working 10 weekends straight. They don't promote off of merit. They promote off of who kisses the most butts. Their turf is overpriced and there are way better companies and installers out there that are going to put them out of business. Inventory is always off and they have a turnstile of installers because they are cheap and don't pay on time. Some of their materials are $20 more expensive than the local competitors. Forklifts are constantly going down. The power and internet gets turned off from time to time due to them not paying the bills. Just poorly run. If you want to work in turf, find a better company.
