Pros
They worked around my school schedule really well. Flexible. I learned a lot about how Purdue works and also all the resources (IT resources and otherwise) students and employees have through the university. More than anything - I really learned how to maintain patience with very difficult customers and cases. Customer service skills will take you a long way!
Cons
When budget cuts took place, the expectations of student representatives increased dramatically. We were not prepared for the higher complexity of issues. Also, there was little communication from student employees to managers. We were told to report to "senior" student reps who had little power to do anything other than talk about it.
