Pros
- Shifts are only 4-5 hours long - Typically very easy to get shift coverage - Free gym membership - Overall, managers really care about the well being of their employees. There is a lot of camaraderie here and almost all of the trainers, instructors, and staff are fantastic to work with. - Locally owned, the owners are really great, approachable people who want everyone in their organization to be happy. - Commission on membership sales, great resume builder too! - This job is great for students, the schedule is created around your school schedule and will change each semester, accordingly.
Cons
- opening shift starts at 5:30am and closing shift ends after 10pm - Not a lot of opportunity of advancement or upward mobility. - No negotiation on pay - benefits to full time employees could be better.
