Pros

- Individual teams and contributors made for great colleagues - Benefits package is competitive - Workforce is diverse

Cons

- Poor expectation setting and communication by upper management. - Complete inability to give (or receive) feedback on many of the ineffective processes/decisions - Upper management has concerning pre-occupation trying to emulate AWS, despite being fractional in size and relative impact. This had them treating their people capitol as disposable - Despite a review process being in place, upper management has an attitude that can only be described as antithetical to actual growth and feedback - Salary is mediocre - Company policies for development are inconsistent, if they exist at all. - Poor, inconsistent company culture

Pros

Good opportunity to grow, fun projects to work on, and the support you need to be successful if you work hard and communicate well.

Cons

Different teams have different practices, so your structure, workflow, etc. depends a lot on which team you are on.

Pros

The hiring process was great. There are good people there, The compensation is slightly above average. There is a pretty decent focus on culture.

Cons

The good people aren't in a position to effect change. There is a short-sighted group at the top that makes entirely irrational and myopic decisions. And the decisions they make today consistently usurp the decisions they made in the prior days or weeks. The technology is a reflection of their bipolar decision making. Everything is built in seconds with absolutely no QA/QC. The engineers are largely a talented group. But the never-ending shifting of their resources is a nightmare. A fairly solid attempt at culture building doesn't mask (and shouldn't be required to) the utter failure of morale. I've never worked in a professional setting as relntlessly toxic as this. There is almost no opportunity for growth, especially if you have an opinion about anything. The good reviews on this site for this company were likely made by people that are vested in there being good reviews.
