Pros
I work with some really wonderful people who genuinely care about one another, personally as well as professionally. The work we do in real estate marketing is creative and inspirational and though it’s hard to slow down and reflect, when we do, we see that we’ve produced some really creative stuff. My favorite thing about QB is the ability to affect change and take control of your workload and process. Having come from big corporations, there was never flexibility in the way I approached my work as I have at QB. My opinion and input to affect our processes has been greatly valued over the past year; it’s nice to feel appreciated.
Everyone at the company works closely with one another which means most of us work closely with the CEO, which I value. Our CEO brings a tremendous background of marketing and creative experience to the table, a resource I’m always grateful to tap.
Presently management is highly respectful toward their teams. As managers I think we all do our best to help ensure a work life balance for our team and do not ask more of someone than they’re capable of or wanting to give.
Cons
With a small company comes a fair amount of individual knowledge and so when someone leaves, often that knowledge goes with them. We are constantly working toward documenting process though so these are just growing pains. Another con, it’s a Slack world... remember AIM, it’s (basically) back!
