Pros
The relationships and connections you build with team members, customers and inspectors are strong and real. A core group of individuals within each of these categories work hard on a daily basis to help each other succeed. Casual environment and dress code. An abundant amount of coffee, tea (free) and a well stocked kitchen with an awesome market where you can purchase food. Also, the location is really good. Safe area, sidewalks for walking, and close to MAX station.
Cons
1: Lack of Leadership... Without a real captain, any ship will lose their way. This is most evident at Quiktrak since the founder retired several years ago. The 'interim CEO' lacks any real business acumen, makes one-way-door decisions that are difficult, often impossible, to reverse (when they are wrong, which is often), and thinks and executes on such a small scale that it not only hurts the employees, but also the customers and the future of the company. 2: Zero trust... Real leaders inspire greatness and earn the trust of others...customers, colleagues and team members. Leaders at Quiktrak have abandoned this basic principle. Instead, the Interim CEO behaves in such as way that others must earn her trust by exhibiting ‘mean girl’ tactics. A culture of excellence has been replaced by ‘who can be the most okay by babysitting my dogs….during working hours’. Also, having direct reports stay at your home while visiting from out of town is not only unprofessional, but just overall tacky and suspect. 3: Inability to deliver results... The incessant intolerance of inadequate technological development is one of Quiktrak’s greatest CON’s, but also it’s greatest opportunity. Back to leadership…put a leader at the helm that will be able to capitalize on the robust technology and who can think big and look around corners to find solutions that will deliver results and empower customers to believe in the Quiktrak Experience.
