Pros
The people are nice and I think the upper management makes an effort.
Cons
It's impossible to promote in some areas. Literally impossible. Other areas are critically understaffed. The rest of us are spread across many time zones and for a company so excited about collaboration, you'd think we'd reorganize to where teams were able to have more than a 2 hour overlap. Went from being fully remote to RTO about 3 years into employment. We did not get a pay increase for the sudden costs of commuting, parking, and other costs of working on-site. There's no psychological safety anymore. Many people lie on the pulse surveys because there are meetings that drill down to small groups where the managers ask why people gave certain ratings. We coordinate answers now so that there are no outliers. The company policies are confusing at times, particularly when it comes to PTO and sick leave. Do not contact HR for clarification because it will lead to your manager being called and a formal meeting being set up, which is scary. I thought I was being fired for asking a question.
