Pros

Pay is decent I guess

Cons

Don't be fooled by the new name. This is the same horrible company it's always been. The culture is the worst I've seen in my 15 year career. The executive leaders are not interested in anything but getting the stock price up so they can cash out and retire. They don't promote an employee friendly environment, are closed off to ideas and feedback of any sort and just push their policies and processes to cut costs to the bare minimums. It's laughable that they expect to retain the good employees when they can't even pay bonuses on time (or sometimes not at all like 2016) or provide the proper resources to get the work done.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
