Pros

A place where you can both learn and make a name for yourself Lots of job variety Still forming its culture so you actually have an opportunity to put your stamp on it and impact result Over the years they have hired some pretty strong people, abover verage talent. Helping an industry that needs help, I am proud to tell people what we are doing. There will be a business school book written about this company some day!

Cons

Pace is not for the weak of heart Personal flexibility is needed. Some level of frustration because of lack of structure, but the right mindset works through it here.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
