Pros

There isn't a company in the health care consulting industry that can come close to compete with the services that we provide for our clients. The level of talent and knowledge base within the company is like nothing I have ever seen and I'm challenged on a daily basis to aim higher with goals and ideas.

Cons

Resource constraints can be an issue within the company when comepletion of tasks rely on the one or two people with the knowledge base to perform the tasks. This can create an unnecessary bottle neck.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
