Great work environment, hardly a standard 9-5 - Operations Lead R1 RCM Employee Review

Pros

Excellent potential for growth and resume perfecting. Senior management does their job and effectively communicates issues and new transitions clearly. HR does a great job making the jump from college to corporate life very manageable. Specifically, the training and recruiting processes are run very well. The training can be slightly tedious but the recruiting was nothing short of seamless.

Cons

The company is growing so fast it is easy to feel unknown. That being said, I have worked here for three months and have met the CEO three times. Aside from that, the promotion system and standards seem to be a little cloudy in the sens of when and to what extent promotions occur. A results driven company cannot be expected to explicitly guarantee promotions either.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
