Pros

I am only completing this portion due to a 5-word minimum. There are absolutely no Pros other than the management who are PROS at making your job miserable.

Cons

There are always abrupt changes. There is no stability. Many of the jobs are going to Offshore workers and they want the On Shore coders to go behind them and check their work along with doing your own work. They do not want to increase pay or give raises. Management will retaliate against you if you show concern or question job changes, You are loaded with tons of work with a small team to assist with workflow. Every second of your day must be documented and accounted for. Goodness, forbid you need to take a restroom break!!!! Until this company and management make some changes to value their employees, please seek employment elsewhere! This job had me so stressed, I dreaded each morning. I had anxiety the night before thinking of what would be thrown at me the next day. I even called the EAP line for assistance, and it was a complete joke! They have these unrealistic goals that they want you to accomplish but disrupt you all throughout the day with pings and meetings. I found employment shortly after leaving, my skin is clearer, my blood pressure is down, and I am no longer on anxiety meds!! Good ridden R1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
