Pros
If you are a good worker you will get hours. You get paid orientation. Its a great job if you are desperate. As long as you meet The basic requirements you are hired. The clients are so sweet. The managers are in the home almost everyday. You can be crossed trained at other locations which increase your chances of getting hours. You get 2 raises. One after your 90 days and one for becoming a med tech. If you are a college student needing experience for social work or medical field..this is the place! Hard to get fired! Job stability because it can never go out of business due to the nature of the type of work.
Cons
Where do I begin.. Low pay. Enjoy those raises because it's all your getting..except for rare cases. And I do mean rare. Once you Are out of orientation..throw every thing you were taught away!! The staff there don't even know what your talking about because they never received that kind of training. Do not expect anything to change. The staff are over worked and burned out. The 401k is basically the stock market which means you could lose everything!!!!! No pension or retirement so save ur money. Most employees work other jobs to make ends meet due to low pay. Gossip city so keep your personal life to yourself. predominantly women..few men stay.
