Pros
The people are somewhat friendly
Cons
Expected to work like a robot. Don’t talk. Dont go on your phone not even for a second and don’t help the new guy because you’ve now taken time away from your machine. Pay is absolutely terrible. The average workshop technician gets £25-27K, here at Riso you get £21k for all your hard work. There is no real progression unless you work in sales or another department. They try to trick you by telling you that you can become a field engineer and get paid more but if you become a field engineer you end up getting less money at first. Even after a few years in the field, you’ll only be making around £70 more than a workshop technician so it isn’t worth it at all, more stress for pretty much the same amount of money.
