There has been a lot of micromanagement lately, with very little transparency from leadership. Salary raises are minimal. Instead of investing in training or development opportunities to help us stay competitive, they decided to make 98 people redundant. They made some changes in our job descriptions and encouraged us to reapply for those positions — with a three-month probation period — despite many of us having worked there loyally for years. Shortly after the layoffs, the company organized a tech conference and a team-building event, expecting everyone to be cheerful — it felt completely tone-deaf and disconnected from reality.
I was laid off after many years with the company — a disappointing and disheartening end to what used to be a great place to work.
