Pros

Working here has given me the chance to learn how to work with difficult people and overcome impossible tasks assigned to me. I would suggest working here if you're in the mood to go through corporate boot camp. I know that when I leave it will make me thankful to be basically anywhere else except Reed. The people I work with are wonderful, they are smart and always willing to go above and beyond. Summer Fridays are nice, that's a plus. Aside from the mind game we play every year that consists of dangling the Summer Fridays in our face. We also just got the OK to wear jeans everyday aside from just Fridays.

Cons

Most of management is completely incompetent. Most of them have no formal training in management (or business for that matter), and many of them only have their Bachelor's degrees. There are not many people in management with advanced degrees. I don't quite know how they function even though I have been here for what I deem is quite sometime. There is a disregard for standard business practices. There is the 1980's - 1990's corporate feel here, for example, if you are important you get a better office. The pay is really much less than other event companies in the area, which is too bad given that RX was the largest event company in the world up until last year. There's also a large focus on buzzwords, and not much action to go along with them. This is sad because there are so many smart people who can do some really great things if they are given the chance. Work/life balance really depends on the role, for me the constant feeling of being displeased and complaints to my spouse really make work/life balance a con. Promotions are rare and from transparent discussions with coworkers we all seem to agree that raises average around 2%, which I would deem low. I wouldn't recommend RX as an establishment for employment.

Pros

Opportunity for growth within the company, great focus on not only retaining but growing inhouse talent. Tons of different sales roles to apply for. Ability to work remote full time.

Cons

Perhaps not the most competitive salary initially but can easily work your way into one.

Pros

The hybrid work model, I guess?

Cons

Do yourself a favor and filter this section to only the 1 star and 2 star reviews, because those are the only accurate reviews, at least for RX Global in the Norwalk office. At RX, you are overworked, but also underpaid and undervalued. Employees at this company are just a number. You are paid a comically low salary, no overtime, and HORRIBLE benefits, all for them to use and abuse you. You are expected to work overtime throughout the entire year. You are not only expected to travel for your own shows, but you are also required to volunteer for other shows and attend other external events throughout the year, that always fall over weekends. Have a good idea? Something that can propel the business forward? Doesn't matter! Unless you are VP level or above, your ideas are worth nothing— If anything, they're laughed at. On that note, unless you are VP level or above, not only do you have no autonomy, but you are essentially a dumping ground for admin work. And last but not least, the company culture is one consisting of gossip. Be prepared to be gaslit, micromanaged, and emotionally manipulated if you consider working here. Oh also, non-existent growth opportunities!
