Pros

To explain the title, Ragan is the best in the business -- it is the best at what it does, which is provide the best in corporate communications content, training, tips, resources. From an employee's perspective, this means several things: * You get to work in an environment where your brand is respected. I can't tell you how many people I've met who hear that I worked at Ragan, and say "I Love Ragan!" * You get to learn from the best. One could argue that Ragan helped define the profession of corporate communications. It has a rich history, and the staff are steeped in real world experience. You will learn a lot from them. * You'll be part of a great organization that has mastered the art of changing with the industry. There are plenty of startups who are trying to start new things in communications. Ragan has mastered the timeless things, which means it has withstood the fads and trends, and learned how to adapt. Finally, it cannot be said enough that the people are incredibly kind, gracious, friendly, and fun. There's an informal, sometimes irreverent culture at Ragan that allows people to have fun, even while doing excellent work. You'll have a good time. It's also true that Ragan the company is and will continue to reshape its identity beyond the man, the myth, the legend Mark Ragan. As that identity takes shape, the strong internal culture and the staff who care so much about the the company will carry it through.

Cons

As mentioned, the communications industry changes quickly and frequently. Employees should expect things at Ragan to move quickly as well.

Pros

Friendly people, a small company that tries to treat employees well despite fewer resources than big firms. Remote work has long been accepted.

Cons

Lots of writing from videos. Used to be a tough schedule for those who travel to conferences (not me).

Pros

A few of the people are decent.

Cons

Do not work for this company. While working there I often questioned whether I had actually died and somehow ended up in hell.
