Terrible Work Environment with Bad Management - Anonymous Rand Accessories Employee Review

Pros

Off at 3 on Fridays (but with all the overtime you put it it’s not much of a pro really...). Group health insurance (which you must use to make it worth it because you can’t opt out)

Cons

This company has terrible management and leadership which is undoubtedly the reason for the insane turnover. Tons of negativity, micromanaging and other behavior typical of toxic management. No work culture, people eat lunch at their desks. The workload and timelines are completely over the top which makes it a work culture where overworking is seen as a badge of honor rather than what it really is : exploitation. Everyone is stressed out, overworked and underpaid. They never pay overtime even when they expressly ask you to stay late. They treat people who work for them the same way they treat their factories in China; like cogs in a machine. There are no annual raises even to cover inflation and no Christmas bonuses. There is no real opportunity for growth or career advancement here. If you perform well you won’t be rewarded for it just given more and more work. Do yourself and favor and look for something better.

Pros

I gained valuable experience and had the chance to work in a fast-paced environment. Some coworkers were helpful, hardworking, and willing to support each other. The role also gave good exposure to day-to-day operational issues and problem-solving

Cons

My experience at the company had both positive and challenging aspects. I appreciated the experience I gained and the opportunity to work with different departments and partners. That said, the work environment could be difficult at times. In my experience, decisions from upper management often created uncertainty, and there seemed to be frequent turnover as a result. There was also a strong level of oversight, which sometimes made it feel like mistakes were expected rather than employees being supported. Communication and trust between management and employees could be improved. I also felt that the salary was not very competitive compared to the level of responsibility and pressure involved in the role. Overall, I gained valuable experience, but I believe the company would benefit from stronger communication, more trust in employees, and a more competitive compensation structure.
