The owner engaged in some very shady and questionable things. Including not making us, but implying that we break work regulations to work unpaid overtime, I must stress this was never formally requested. But heavily implied that if we did not comply, your employment may be threatened. I genuinely didn't think things could be so dodgy from a seemingly successful company. But this is all surface level, the company has some deep problems both from a business outlook point of view, the way they treat their staff, and the weird working environment in there. I would just seriously consider your options before working here and try if you can to find something better. The progression is very limited, salary renewal meetings are not a thing and a lot of the way the business is run is based upon the owners feelings, both in your salary, the way the business is run and the atmosphere around. They are rapidly outsourcing to Kenya at the moment, I did over hear the owner talking about how great it was that he could pay Kenyans a lot less than British people, while that's true from an economic point a view, for me thats not a great environment to be around, where the main focus is getting labour as cheap as possible.
