Pros

* There will be significant changes at the management level * Enterprise integration which is supported by the government agencies * Opportunity to network various development programs in the USA * Opportunity to travel around Australasia part of the world * Intricate technologies * Teams will get smaller over the next couple of years

Cons

* Base housing, furniture, and utilities that are currently provided to people who PCS to Alice Springs are going away starting March/April/May. This means you will have to find a house in town, work with the property mgmt company and coordinate the details. Along with taking care of utilities. All of these require an Australian bank account. Alice Springs is isolated in the middle of Australia so there are no other small towns as options to live in. There are a few rental properties but no one knows if the stipend provided by the U.S. government will cover rent and utilities. Be very cautious moving your family across the planet to this remote location. Especially now that base housing will not be provided to PCSers. * Triton management is weak. They only care about body count. They refuse to tell people who are thinking about moving their families across the planet that they might not have a house when they arrive in Alice Springs. And, that they don't know how much of a stipend will be provided for housing when they do get here
