Pros

I’m two months into my role as Head of Sales at RazorSecure, and the culture has genuinely exceeded my expectations. As a remote-first business, there is a strong and authentic commitment to employee health and wellbeing. Flexible working is actively encouraged, making it much easier to maintain a healthy work–life balance. Despite being distributed, the company has built a highly inclusive environment, supported by regular all-company meetings that ensure everyone feels connected and informed. The business is founder-led, and this is reflected in the culture. Our CEO, Alex Cowan, is open, approachable, and genuinely supportive, which sets a positive tone across the organisation. Overall, RazorSecure has created a collaborative and people-focused culture that makes it a great place to work.

Cons

Minimal cons. Some expected challenges as you would expect in a scale up business but I wouldn't count them as cons, rather growing pains

Pros

The team at RazorSecure is genuinely great—collaborative, respectful, and easy to work with. Leadership is approachable, and the structure feels flat, which makes sharing ideas and raising concerns straightforward. There’s a strong emphasis on work–life balance, and the flexible working arrangements are extremely helpful. Overall, it’s a supportive environment where people genuinely want each other to succeed.

Cons

The workload tends to oscillate and is often high. There is also a significant amount of technical debt and a backlog of work across most departments. While this is fairly typical for a company of this size, it can still be challenging. At times, the team falls into the “everything is a priority” trap, which makes focus and planning more difficult. A few internal bottlenecks can slow things down and add stress, and although communication is generally good, it could still be stronger.
