Pros
- They work with 2 high profile customers. HOW they work with them, however, is a big Con. - Medical benefits are good
Cons
- The owner of the company is arrogant and will cut you down. He feels he is an excellent judge of character. In reality, he is prejudiced and feels he is better than you because he went to an Ivy League school - All other leadership are the owner's "Yes Men". They will not dare disagree with him. They have built great careers on this fact, which is why there is little turnover at the top. - There are set work hours, but you are chastised for not routinely working late or coming in on weekends - They bank all effort on 2 key customers. Any new opportunities are met with minimal effort or encouragement - Pay is very low competitively. When Christmas bonuses are handed out, the owner insists on personally handing them out to each employee. The gesture is nice, but it comes with a speech about how they really don't have to give you a bonus, and you are lucky they are giving you one. - Very, very strong preferential treatment of Hispanic staff members. Was once told that I could not take vacation time for the holidays because other employees would not be able to travel back to Mexico to see their families - Any mistakes are met with finger- pointing and employees throwing each other under the bus. You will be called into meeting after meeting to discuss the problem over and over again, long after any damage is done and your time should be spent repairing it. - Success is met with back-handed praise, i.e. "we feel like we are getting our money's worth" - Little to no room for career advancement- unless you are Hispanic.
