Pros

Firm does benefit from little competition in the real estate consulting marketplace...as the consulting margins in this space are very tight...negative is that the firm is a bottom feeder.

Cons

Technology capability is close to 0. Capability to implement GL and very basic real estate applications out of the box is there ......but beyond that there is no technology competence in the firm. Firm is basically an India outsource organization with high turn over.

We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that you did not enjoy your experience as an employee of RealFoundations. Since we opened our doors in 2000, our firm has grown from less than 20 employees to over 400 knowledgeable and capable professionals across the world. Over the last 17 years of success, growth and maturation as an enterprise, we have established high expectations of our professionals, serving clients who have high expectations of RealFoundations. Far from being “bottom feeders”, because of our culture, values and legacy of delivering successful work, we possess a virtually unmatched depth of real estate expertise and focus within the industry. Over the last two years, RF has had the privilege of establishing a new office in Chennai, growing our internal employee base and expanding client delivery capabilities. We are the fastest growing provider of outsourced business processes in the real estate space. In this endeavor, we have indeed experienced some turnover as we seek to employ the most talented professionals in the market. Although our turnover rate has been, and continues to be, far lower than the average for professional services firms, we don’t take that achievement for granted. Along with deliberately honoring the legacy of the firm and its history, we are deeply committed to our own culture and values, part of which is embracing and investing in the professional development of new talent. We continue to be proud of the work we do as a firm and remain committed to our core values of working hard, telling the truth and doing what we say we’ll do.

Pros

RealFoundations invests in employee knowledge and collaboration. Viva Engage allows practitioners to share what they know, ask questions and get immediate, knowledgeable answers from colleagues. They host weekly forums (open to all company) to continue knowledge expansion of specific technologies, processes, sectors, etc. The HR team promotes engagement with monthly virtual workshops and team building exercises... Great place to work and feel supported and valued.

Cons

Performance review process can be tedious.

Pros

I had the pleasure to do an Internship at RealFoundations at their New York office this past summer. It was a great learning experience since I got the opportunity to work at the clients site along the RF team the whole summer. From the first day at RealFoundations, everyone made me feel welcomed and part of the company. I learned so much about the real estate industry, about technology and about business consulting. A great thing about RealFoundations is that there is no limit of how much you can learn, since they have their own set of educational tools that everyone within the company can use. They also have their own methodology, along with a set of internal processes and standards, which makes it easier to understand what stage of the project the client is at. I recommend the internship program to any student who is pursuing a business, real estate or technology degree.

Cons

Greater amount of travelling if you are working in business consulting, and there could be more work at different stages of the project. But I think this is a good thing because you have more opportunities to learn, and you feel you are an integral part of the team and the project.
