      Good company for experienced garbage truck drivers - Residential Extra Recology Employee Review

      Pros

      Regular overtime and good teamwork to get the job done New trucks that are CNG not diesel. Union job with great pay.

      Cons

      New drivers do not receive enough training and are required to be able to go on any route, whether you know it or not, to fill in for the regular driver until you win the bid - based on seniority - for a route of your own.

      Pros

      Supportive coworkers, good employee owned company with opportunities to be promoted from within. Just have to put in your time and provide solid work results via leadership qualities and strong KPI performance.

      Cons

      Tough Union environment to work in, and management structure is a little chaotic and inconsistent. Need to be very flexible, because policy changes happen quickly and often.
